Janice Dickinson forced to leave I'm a Celeb and sent to hospital after camp injury

In Monday night's episode of I'm A Celebrity...South Africa, the campmates will receive the shock news that Janice Dickinson has been forced to leave the camp through injury. American supermodel Janice, 68, was sent to hospital after she tripped over in camp as she walked to the long drop toilet during the night.

Janice was seen by the medical team on site and as a precaution, taken to the local hospital for further tests. Producers decided it was best for the star not to return to camp but instead to rest up.

In Monday's episode of the pre-recorded show, which was filmed last September, campmate Helen Flanagan will read a heartfelt message from Janice to her 'new BFF's'. The I'm A Celebrity ... Get Me Out Of Here! spin-off show, set in South Africa, will crown the reality show's first 'legend' from over the past 20 years.

Janice, who was previously contestant on the seventh series of the show in 2017, praised about her campmates after her exit: "Every single person in the [South African] camp is completely, 100-per-cent authentic and real in all capacity. There’s no dodging about behind your back. What you see is what you get. When people look at me, they look at me with genuine affection."

And she admits to having had a 'crush' on hosts Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly: "Oh it was glorious to see Ant and Dec again. I have a fondness for them that my husband shouldn’t know about. I was crushing on them big time."

Janice says she bonded first with Diversity dancer Ashley Banjo, followed by nutritionist Gillian McKeith and then later arrival Myleene Klass, saying: "Every day she was like my daughter, she’d say ‘come on Jan, let me fix your hair’. Without pretension.

"I got to meet the real Myleene Klass which is a comfortable, wonderful, down to earth female. I got to meet the pure Myleene which is friendly, very generous and very giving."

I'm A Celebrity...South Africa continues Monday at 9pm on ITV1, catch up on the full series on ITVX.
