Janey Godley 'wants to cry' after vile trolls mock cancer diagnosis as she shaves hair

Janey Godley has admitted she "wants to cry" after being hit by vile trolls online following her terminal cancer diagnosis.

The comedian, 62, opened up about the abuse she faces on social media where people comment on her health and vilify her for supporting trans rights.

One vile tweet said: "She should shave her head again even although it wasn’t required. Play a sympathy with major C."

The award-winning Scottish comic was diagnosed with stage three ovarian cancer in November 2021, and has since explained it has returned.

In response to the hurtful comment, Janey revealed: "Sometimes… just sometimes this kind of s*** makes me want to cry, I was told to shave my head as hair was falling out all over the house.

"But what if I meet this woman in the street? Would she say this to me? Would she? Do people really see cancer patients with such distain?"

Janey told her followers she was recommended to shave her head "as it was all falling out over my face and in my eyes".

"Despite the gender critics mocking me for my cancer diagnosis I won’t stop supporting trans people," she added as fans rushed to support her.

"@JaneyGodley what you have to remember is you bring joy and love into people’s lives. Haters gonna hate, and it shrivels their lives with every vile tweet," said one person.

Another added: "@JaneyGodley is being harassed & taunted abused about Cancer simply because she offers daily support to Trans People. These idiots are lower than a Worms T*t."

"You know how karma works? I hope for your sake it’s not true," Janey said as she hit back at one of the trolls.

Last month, the comedian was forced to defend herself against a troll implying she is lying about her cancer battle.

The cruel critic accused the Scottish star of 'milking every second' of her ill health in a bid to boost her career, before going on to claim Janey - who has ovarian cancer - 'looks the picture of health' in recent snaps.

Janey responded to the taunts by wishing her troll well, despite them claiming she is lying about having cancer, and sharing her hope they never have to live with the disease themselves.
