Janey Godley has vowed she is "going out with a bang" in an emotional health update.
The Scots comic opened up to Lorraine Kelly this morning as she confirmed her cancer is "treatable but not curable".
Janey, 61, was in tears as she told the ITV host she is determined to keep fighting and said she's not a "human advent calendar" as people keeping asking "how long she has left".
Lorraine described her fellow Scot as "remarkably brave" as Janey appeared on the show via videolink, saying: "The thing about ovarian stage 3 cancer is it's treatable but not curable, and it's always there and it's always going to come back and I'm always going to have to keep fighting it.
"I'm feeling good, I'm getting the chemotherapy every week now and then a week off, I'm feeling surprising spritely just now for someone going through chemo just now, it's different from what I had before.
"People keep saying 'how long I've got left', I'm no a human advent calendar and I don't have an answer for them, I don't know how long I've got but like a mayfly I'm going to enjoy it while I can but I'm going to go on tour and if I'm gonny go oot I'll go oot with a bang."
"This time it's on my peritoneum, which is the organ that holds all your bits in around your tummy, and I'm going to have to just deal with that, I have to say that the Beatson and Scottish NHS have been astounding, they've been there at every single point. They are just wonderful, they've saved my life so far."
Janey told Lorraine she's been feeling good and can't wait to get out on the road despite facing gruelling treatment.
The funny woman also revealed she can't wait to see fans and she is determined to put on a good show as she opened up about her last tour ever, entitled 'Janey's Not Dead Yet', which starts next month.
And she said she will be heading straight from a chemo session to the stage for one date.
She said: "This is my last big tour I'll be able to do due to cancer diagnosis and on the very first date is in Arbroath, and that day I get chemotherapy so I'm going straight from the Beatson, into the tour van and straight on stage.
"I genuinely cannot wait to be able to see people, have a laugh and I'm looking forward to talking about something that's not my blood count, my haemoglobin or my symptoms of cancer."
When asked about the amazing support around her, Janey admitted that she finds it hard as she's the "cause of pain" to her family. She said: "It's really hard because you are the person that's the cause of the stress in the house, I know that the reason they are sad is because of me, I'm not saying that makes me guilty but it's a really difficult thing to get your head round, thank god for the Maggie's centre, who give me counselling, I'm going there today to speak to them."
Janey went on to urge anyone who might have the symptoms to get checked. She added: "The symptoms are very important, ovarian cancer is a silent killer, I didn't know I had it until it was stage three because women are so used to feeling bloating in their tummy, but if you're feeling bloated and not hungry every time you go to eat and you already feel full, and peeing a lot just get it checked by a doctor.
"Say the words and say it out loud and get checked and if me saying this gets one woman to catch it early then it's definitely worth it."
In December 2021, Janey found out that she had ovarian cancer after experiencing some symptoms of bloating and frequent urination. In January, she underwent a hysterectomy but was told she would need to undergo further treatment as her cancer had progressed to stage 3b.
In June 2022, after treatment, Janey was told she had the 'all clear', however just months later, after a scan, the comic was told her cancer had returned, with tests showing signs of the disease in her abdomen.
