Janey Godley has told of the adorable moment she got engaged to husband 'Sean' Storrie with her fans as she posted a throwback picture of the lovebirds.
The Scottish comedian, who recently announced a new radio show in Glasgow, penned the loving tribute to her hubby on Twitter as she detailed how the couple first got engaged back in 1979.
Janey wrote on Twitter to her 289k followers: "On this day in 1979 I got engaged to a 16yr old lad, behind his dads pub sitting on beer barrels he gave me a diamond ring. Married now for 43 years … not been easy, but here we are .. happy anniversary Mr Storrie."
The couple has been together for over three decades, having tied the knot back in 1980 when Janey was aged 19.
Fans rushed to the comments section to wish Janey and her husband a very "Happy Anniversary" as other people shared their Glasgow engagement stories.
Someone else wrote: "Mr S must be doing something right to have you and your beautiful girl in his life. Happiest wishes to you both x"
Janey has previously spoken publicly about the important role her husband has played in her life and career, describing him as "her rock and support system."
But the 62-year-old has always vowed to keep her husband out of the spotlight, referring to him only as 'Sean' in her book 'Nothing Left Unsaid' to conceal his identity away from public attention.
Janey and her husband Sean's daughter Ashley is also a comedian, actress, and writer who has performed in various venues across the UK and written for TV shows.
