Janey Godley has revealed that she can't see how she'll "make it through the year" in a very honest social media post.
The Scots comic underwent a hysterectomy in January when doctors discovered that she had ovarian cancer.
Following the gruelling operation, Janey was told she would then have to undergo further chemotherapy treatment as the cancer had progressed to stage 3b and had spread beyond her ovaries.
Since then, Janey has shared her journey with her social media followers and has given updates on the toll the battle is having on her mental health.
And today she told her Twitter followers that she has been struggling but will keep trying to make it through.
Sharing a black and white selfie of herself, she wrote: "It’s another day, the world seems terrifying, Putin is punishing innocent people and the chemo is battering the cancer inside me and sometimes I can’t see how I will make it through this year, but I won’t stop trying is all I can say. #MentalHealthMatters #chemo."
And her followers quickly took to the comments to send the 61-year-old lots of love.
One said: "We're all having to take one day at a time just now Janey. Stalwarts like you make us realise how lucky we actually are. Love hearing your thoughts, I'm sure it helps many people, including you. Keep chatting."
Another added: "You matter and you are loved by so many in the world.. You’ve brought laughter to all of us Janey you got this .. keep going x."
While one commented: "One day at a time, one step at a time. You are stronger than you realise."
Another said: "Don’t ever stop trying Janey. So many people love you. Me included."
And one added: "You got this Janey and are going to kick the shit of cancer. Stay strong! Sending Lots of love xx."
Janey recently shaved her hair off as she had her first session of chemotherapy.
She said she wanted to cut her hair before chemo took it from her.
The comic shared a snap of herself as her husband took the shaver to her head.
She told her 106,000 Instagram followers that her other half helped her with her new haircut.
She wrote: "My husband has performed his first ever hair trim, with gentle care and I think he’s done a good job! #chemo #ovariancancerawareness #MentalHealthMatters."
