Janey Godley has taken to Instagram to give a health update to her fans - and it's good news.
The Scots comedian has been through the mill the past year after being diagnosed with stage 3b ovarian cancer. After undergoing a hysterectomy, a blood transfusion and also chemotherapy, Janey has come out the other end.
And now, the 61-year-old has revealed that another scan has come back clear, leaving her 'heart huge with happiness'. Taking to Instagram, she wrote: "My latest scan came back 100% clear next one in 3 months - my heart is huge with happiness today - I know I will never be cured but I am still alive."
And fans were over the moon for her with many taking to the comments section of her post. One wrote: "That’s the good news we needed. Great stuff Janey. X."
While one said: "Happy for you Janey you re a true inspiration, your attitude and fight has paid off you look amazeballs !!!" Another penned: "Fantastic news Janey you are looking fabulous."
Another added: "Your happiness is radiating from you Janey." Just yesterday, Janey hit back at trolls who targeted her online because of her short haircut.
Last year, Janey cut her long locks into a pixie cut as she underwent chemotherapy to combat her ovarian cancer diagnosis.
Janey, who is best known for her hilarious voiceovers, took to her Facebook page to say that she has been targeted by trolls for the way she looks and particularly, her hair cut.
Posting to her fans, she wrote: "Over the last few days I had been slagged off and trolled by Scottish unionists on twitter for having a bald head and or just short white hair, apparently am either gay or collecting cats, the reason I am telling you this is so many women shared with me their photos of their heads and hair during cancer treatment that it became an outpouring of love and support on twitter and I couldn’t be anymore joyful. Incidentally there’s nothing wrong with being gay and having cats!"
