Janey Godley pokes fun at Donald Trump's 'eating pets' claim in hilarious video

SCOTTISH comedian Janey Godley has poked fun at Donald Trump following his disastrous performance in a TV debate ahead of the US election.

The former president went head-to-head with Kamala Harris on a range of issues, with the Democratic nominee often looking on in disbelief.

At one point, Trump made the false claim that immigrants in Ohio are abducting pets and eating them.

“In Springfield, they’re eating the dogs. The people that came in. They’re eating the cats,” Trump said.

“They’re eating – they’re eating the pets of the people that live there. And this is what’s happening in our country, and it’s a shame.”

There is no evidence immigrants in Ohio are abducting and eating pets with the presenter stopping Trump to say there had been no “credible reports” of this happening.

Trump interrupted to say he had saw it “on television”.

Godley, who regularly takes aim at Trump on Twitter/X, posted her own voiceover giving her take on his comments.

“They’re absolutely eating cats and dugs. It’s all over Facebook. Big Margaret, she had it up and she says there’s people eating cats and dugs,” Godley’s voiceover said.

“Everybody sees it. It’s all over the news and I don’t know why you’re lying about it.”

Many in the comments section were delighted by Godley’s latest video, with one saying it was “another great voiceover”.

“Did he say that out loud,” said a second person left in disbelief at Trump’s comments.

Many people simply commented with several laughing emojis.
