Janey Godley celebrates her 62nd birthday today and the Scots comedian has vowed to "f****** enjoy it".
The funny woman, who is currently battling ovarian cancer, took to Instagram to talk about how she didn't think she would make it through the year.
In December 2021, the star was given the devastating news that she had ovarian cancer and would need to have a hysterectomy, however in June 2022 following major surgery and further treatment, she was given the all clear.
But in November last year, Janey confirmed that her had cancer returned as tests had shown signs of the disease in her abdomen - meaning she would need to have more treatment.
Janey has been sharing her cancer journey online and as today marks her birthday, she picked up her camera and recorded a message.
She said: "Hi everybody well today is my birthday, I have finally reached 62. I never thought I would make it this whole last year going through chemotherapy and surgery and so many treatments for the ovarian cancer, but I made it another year.
"Who knows how long I am going to last, I don't think I'm going to last as long as I wanted to because ovarian cancer is treatable but not curable, but on February 1st, I get to go through and do my tour and start my tour in Arbroath.
"I am super excited about going on tour, I want to Scottish NHS and The Beatson for this whole year of treatment, chemotherapy and maintenance treatment and thank you to everybody who has been supporting me, I got a lovely knitting set and lots of crafting from Ashley and some nice gifts and had my dinner tonight at Eusebi's."
She added: "I never thought I would see this year, but I've made it one more year... that's all we can do is live every day for the day. I don't know how much time I've got left but I'm going to f****** enjoy it. That's what I'm going to do.
"Thanks to everybody out there who has been giving me love and support and giving me birthday wishes, thanks! Happy birthday to me!"
And fans rallied round Janey in the comments.
One wrote: "You are incredible ..a positive inspiration to all and not let’s forget hilarious ..Happy Birthday."
