Janey Godley admitted she's feeling "scared" ahead of her upcoming hospital scan after undergoing further cancer treatment.
The 62-year-old was told in December that the disease had returned despite getting the all-clear in June last year.
Just last week, Janey concluded her 'Not Dead Yet' tour across the UK, which was a 27-date sell out. In between shows, she was receiving chemotherapy and has been making regular trips to The Beatson Cancer Centre in Glasgow - which she's praised highly.
The Glaswegian funny woman has been sharing honest health updates with fans throughout her journey and, now that she's back home from touring, she will will resume chemotherapy weekly.
However, with further treatment comes more scans, and Janey admitted she's scared for the upcoming one.
On her Twitter page, which has amassed over 289,000 followers, she posted a selfie of herself, alongside a caption which read: "Scan tomorrow - I am scared but there’s nothing I can do to change the outcome."
Janey went on to say that taking things as they come is her way of coping and that she also has new work projects to be getting on with.
She added: "I have a terminal illness and living from scan to scan, chemo to chemo is the best way I can cope. Also I have a radio series to get busy on and a new book to start writing."
Previously, Janey said that it was fellow comedian Jimmy Carr who convinced her to go out on tour despite her diagnosis.
After finding out her cancer had returned, Janey initially instructed her agent to cancel the tour but had second thoughts after speaking to her fellow comedy star and pal.
Speaking previously about it to The Independent, Janey said: “I was telling him, ‘I need to cancel the tour’ and he’s like, ‘Why?’”
“He went, ‘Let’s be honest, you being weak on stage is usually quite a little funnier than most people who are alright… Is your mouth still working?’ I went, ‘Yeah.’ He went, ‘Get on tour.’ And I thought, OK."
Janey toured the UK with her daughter Ashley, who is also a comedian, and fans travelled from all over to see her take the stage. 'Not Dead Yet' also received rave reviews from critics.
