Loose Women’s Janet Street-Porter took a cheeky swipe at fellow panellist Coleen Nolan on Wednesday’s show as the ladies discussed Valentine’s Day gifts.
Coleen Nolan proudly told viewers that she loves Valentine’s Day over a discussion about whether parents should give their children gifts on February 14th.
However, as the 56-year-old waxed lyrical about Valentine’s Day, Janet interrupted to point out that Coleen hadn’t had such a sunny disposition this time last year.
Coleen said: "I love Valentine's Day", as Janet replied: "Of course you do, you're loved up."
Coleen continued: "I do love Valentine's Day, as a day of love. It's not necessarily a day of couples - some people aren't in couples."
Janet replied exclaiming: "You weren't saying this last year when there was nothing on the horizon.
"Just because your ship's come into the harbour!"
Coleen insisted: "I've always loved Valentine's Day! By god, she is on to me today guys."
She continued: "When I didn't have anybody over the past three or four years, it was lovely that my kids thought about me and sent me a Valentine's Day card to tell me they loved me.
"I don't agree with presents necessarily and I certainly don't agree for really young kids to get a tablet and really expensive gifts, because then I just think its commercialised."
This comes as Coleen Nolan’s boyfriend Michael Jones has defended her "down to earth" nature amid the ongoing Loose Women feud rumours.
Earlier this month, rumours emerged that fellow panellists including Stacey Solomon and Nadia Sawalha refused to appear on the ITV show if Coleen was due to be on the panel.
While Coleen has continued to deny the rumours, speculation about an ongoing feud between the Loose Women ladies is still rife despite the fact that Stacey, along with Janet Street-Porter and Brenda Edwards have spoken out in Coleen's defence.
Sharing his thoughts on the controversy, new Tinder boyfriend Micheal told OK! Magazine : "It’s really frustrating having to see her explain situations that have got nothing to do with her.
"The annoying thing is you couldn’t meet a lovelier person. She’s so generous and down-to-earth.
"It’s just ridiculous. I’ve been to Loose Women and everybody says the same thing – that she’s the nicest person to work with."
Loose Women airs weekdays at 12.30pm on ITV
