Janet Jackson stuns Scott Mills as she reveals who her surprising A-list cousins are

Janet Jackson left Scott Mills speechless when she casually revealed her famous family connections during an appearance on the BBC Radio 2 Breakfast Show.

The legendary singer, currently on her Together Again tour, joined Scott to chat about her incredible 50-year career in entertainment and her recent performances.

As Stevie Wonder's Do I Do played in the studio, the broadcaster, 51, couldn't resist asking: “Someone told me this earlier—are you related to Stevie!?”

To his surprise, the 58-year-old performer confirmed not only her connection to Wonder but also revealed that she is cousins with both Tracy Chapman and Samuel L. Jackson, admitting that this is something most people don't know.

“That has blown my mind!” Scott shared before Jackson added: “So is Tracy Chapman. So is Samuel L Jackson.”

“Is this blowing anyone else’s mind!! So, Stevie Wonder...” he continued. “Cousin,” she confirmed.

He went on to ask: “Samuel L Jackson?” to which Jackson replied with a laugh: “He would be a cousin too, well he’s not my brother!”

Elsewhere in the interview, the acclaimed artists shared how she is paying homage to her late brother Michael during her tour with their 1995 track, Scream.

Michael Jackson died in 2009 at the age of 50 as result of a cardiac arrest following an overdose of the surgical anesthetic drug Propofol.

Scott said: “There is an amazing moment when you perform Scream tell us about that.”

Jackson explained: “I love that song and I guess its just a homage to my brother and us working together and those memories and people go crazy when he appears (on the screen) they just love it so it's nice.”

Five-time Grammy Award winner Jackson is currently in the middle of a sold-out North American tour celebrating her glittering 50-year career in the music industry.

The European leg will kick off in Paris on September 25 at Accor Arena and take in multiple stops in the UK, Germany and Belgium before concluding in Amsterdam on October 10.

The Nasty hit-maker will now take to the stage at the London O2 Arena on September 28 and 29, with special guest Wyclef Jean.

She’ll also visit Birmingham on September 27, Glasgow on September 30 and round off her dates in Manchester on October 1.
