Singer Jane McDonald is to take part in Celebrity Gogglebox with her best friend of 30 years Sue Ravey.
It comes after the cruise legend turned TV star lost her long-term partner, Eddie Rothe, to lung cancer in March 2021.
Since then Sue, who is Jane’s backing singer, has moved into her house.
Jane said: “Appearing on Celebrity Gogglebox with my best friend Sue will be an absolute blast. We’ve shared some unforgettable moments over the years but I am really looking forward to spending time together on this wonderful show”.
After Eddie’s death, Jane said her fiancé - the drummer of '60s band The Searchers - had “taken their future”, explaining: “You grieve the life you thought you were going to have.”
The couple were together for 13 years.
But Jane found some comfort in having Sue, 71, move into her house in Wakefield.
"When you're on your own there's always that the wee small hours in the morning where everything seems a lot worse than it actually is,” she said. “If I wake up and I'm in a bad way, I know that Sue's just down the hall a bit.”
