Jane Fonda has revealed she is done with having cosmetic surgery.
The 84-year-old film icon spoke of her regrets at having a facelift during an interview with Vogue.
Although having money helps, she said good genes and good health are the most important things in life as you get older.
“We all know a lot of women who are wealthy who’ve had all kinds of facelifts and things like that and they look terrible,” she said.
“I had a facelift and I stopped because I don’t want to look distorted. I’m not proud of the fact I had one. Now, I don’t know if I had it to do over if I would do it.”

The Oscar-winning actress has a simpler beauty routine these days, after swearing off cosmetic surgery entirely in 2020.
“I stay moisturised, I sleep, I move, I stay out of the sun, and I have good friends who make me laugh. Laughter is a good thing too,” she said.
Jane battled bulimia from her childhood until her 40s and explained it was only recently that she feels more accepting of herself and her body.
She has been a glamorous icon for decades, but the Grace and Frankie star said she makes sure fans see the real her by sharing make-up free and “haggard” snaps on social media.
Speaking to Elle Canada, Jane said: “I have to work every day to be self-accepting; it doesn’t come easy to me.”
Proving that she uses her social media platform to not only promote her activism but to show her honesty, she told: “I try to make it very clear that it has been a long and continuing struggle for me, I post pictures of me looking haggard—and once with my tooth out!"
Jane, who found fame with her workouts as well as acting and modelling career, is currently fronting a campaign with H&M Move to make workout clothes more accessible.
One thing she is hoping to get out of it – aged almost 85 – is to stop young people being afraid of getting older.
She says it isn’t the number that matters, but keeping your body strong so you can still do things you take for granted in older age.
Revealing she comes from a “long line of depressed people”, the fitness guru said one of the ways she avoids depression herself is through exercise.
To this day her home workout videos are still the best-selling in the world and inspired millions of women to get fit back in the 80s.
But the most important thing she does for her health is make sure she gets enough sleep – eight or nine hours every night.
She shared she also eats a “fairly healthy” diet which includes vegetables, salads and fresh food.
Although the climate change activist has recently “cut way back” on red meat and fish, because fish supplies are dwindling.
