Jane Fallon, who is in a relationship with Ricky Gervais, opened up on Loose Women about how uncomfortable she feels about being rich.
She first met Ricky when they were at university, and now they are revelling in millions but Jane will never forget her humble beginnings.
The couple once lived above a brothel and struggled to pay their bills before Ricky found success in acting and comedy, and Jane became a bestselling author.
She said she tries to "ignore" her wealth and not make it a huge part of her life.

Jane, who has been in a relationship with Ricky since 1982, was talking about her new book Queen Bee.
Kaye Adams asked: "It's a bit close to home in terms of the theme isn't it?"
Jane replied: "Well it's about a very specific group of the super rich, a specific group of people take absolutely no joy in their money.
"And there is absolutely nothing wrong with having money, but I find it very odd, people who have money and all they do is join another tribe to tell them what to do, what sort of marble to put on their floor and what sort of designers they should be wearing.
It's a specific bunch of people where money is everything."
Kaye asked: "Do you wrestle with having money? Because obviously now people would class you as being in the super rich category, it's not where you started out.
"Do you have difficulty reconciling that?"
"Yes it is kind of weird, apart from obviously living in a beautiful house, I try to ignore it by and large, because it is a strange thing to think about," replied Jane.
"As long as it's giving you pleasure and you can make good use of it that's fine, but some people let it become another prison albeit a comfortable one."
"Do you find you appreciate it more because when you and Ricky first got together you didn't have anything?" asked Kaye.
"We went through a good few years where we had absolutely no money, and I've talked before about the brothel we lived above in King's Cross, it was just horrendous," said Jane.
"I always knew I had a plan to build a career, and I think once you do that and have success it does mean a lot more because you had to work for every bit of it."
