Former Jamiroquai frontman Jay Kay is selling his Scottish getaway home in the Highlands for a massive profit, having bought it decades ago for £150,000.
The 52-year-old pop star bought the secluded home for £150K over 20 years ago, when it could only be described as "just a barn", reports the Daily Record. The singer has previously said that he fell in love with the four-bedroom home in 2002 after he was treated "like an ordinary bloke" in the local pub.

The Space Cowboy singer regularly visits his Scots home at Redpoint, west of Gairloch, sometimes by chartered helicopter. Estate agents Macleod & MacCallum said: “Built circa 1881, the original croft house has been sympathetically restored to a high standard and retains much of its original character, representing an ideal fusion of traditional and modern living.”
The singer is now selling the home for a massive £500,000 - a £450K profit from his early-2000s purchase. Perched atop a hill overlooking the beautiful North Atlantic, the cosy cottage has four bedrooms, a bathroom, a sitting room, a lounge and diner, a boot room, a modern kitchen with luxury appliances and a sunroom.
The interior has been lavished with solid timber panels blended with exposed stone to create a cosseting and warm environment. All rooms in the house have a view of the ocean, and thanks to a number of functioning fireplaces, the residence can be enjoyed year-round in comfort.
Other advantages of the property include a generous 32,374 square-metre block and a sizeable shed/garage, which no doubt would've housed some of Jay Kay's supercars, which form part of his car collection. It looks like Jay Kay - real name Jason Luís Cheetham - will make a sizeable profit from this home.
