One of Newcastle’s owners Jamie Reuben poured praise on new signing Bruno Guimaraes today after the Brazilian’s brace made St James’ Park erupt.
Newcastle United were 1-0 down in the first half against Leicester City today, but Bruno Guimaraes grabbed an equaliser to get the Geordies back in the game. It then stayed level until deep into injury time, at which point Bruno scored a superb winning header.
It will no doubt come as a relief to Newcastle’s owners, who splashed out about £33m on the midfielder in January. Eddie Howe was initially reluctant to break up a winning midfield when the Brazilian arrived, so left Bruno on the bench, but no more.
