Jamie Oliver launches food delivery service Pasta Dreams in Bristol

A bar in Redland has been selected as Jamie Oliver's first UK location outside of London for his new brand Pasta Dreams. His new delivery-only business launches in the city today offering an Italian-inspired menu via click-and-collect and delivery apps.

Brace & Browns on Whiteladies Road will be the Bristol base for Jamie Oliver's Pasta Dreams, launched in partnership with restaurant delivery company Taster, which has more than 200 "delivery-first" restaurants in its portfolio. The menu promises seven signature pasta dishes alongside an assortment of salads, starters and desserts.

The renowned chef and restauranteur has launched the service with the hope of filling an existing gap in the market, offering fresh, high-quality pasta delivered to people's doors. Oliver, 47, said: “Launching Pasta Dreams with Taster has been amazing, and I’m so pleased to be bringing our delicious menu to beautiful Bristol.

"We’ve worked really hard to make sure that every dish on the menu is perfect for delivery and will leave you feeling like you’ve had a great big hug. This menu features some of my favourite pasta dishes and we’ll be bringing even more to the menu soon. Enjoy!”

Pasta Dreams initially launched at pop-up locations in Soho and Paris last month, with Brace & Browns becoming the first Pasta Dreams franchise partner. The brand will continue to expand into more franchise locations across the UK and hopes to become the number one pasta delivery service in the UK, rivalling brands like Pasta Evangelists.

Dave Brown, owner of Brace & Browns, said: “Jamie’s one of the world's best-known chefs, so when we heard about Pasta Dreams it was a no-brainer for us. Since we started working with Taster earlier this year to prepare a couple of their other fantastic brands, we’ve been really impressed by how they operate and the support we’ve received."

Anton Soulier, CEO and founder of Taster, added: “Through Pasta Dreams, we want to redefine how people view and experience food designed for delivery - we’re really excited that Bristol is our first location outside of London for Pasta Dreams and we’re looking forward to bringing the brand to more cities very soon”.

Pasta Dreams is a delivery-first service and customers can order on Uber Eats, Deliveroo and Just Eat, as well as scanning the QR code at Brace & Browns to order via click and collect. It's not currently available to consume on-site.

Oliver has built a robust career in Italian-inspired cooking having been mentored from an early age by renowned chef, Gennaro Contaldo. He opened his first Jamie's Italian restaurant in Oxford in 2008, which grew to 42 sites at its peak including a venue on Park Street which closed in 2018.

In 2019, the chain went into administration and his empire collapsed with the closure of 22 restaurants including Fifteen and Barbecoa. It was reported in the same year that he was the best-selling author in Great Britain behind J.K Rowling, having sold 14.55 million books.
