Jamie O'Hara in bold Rangers cup final glory declaration as Celtic told Ryan Kent will set Beale on the road to 56

Bullish Jamie O'Hara insists Rangers will lift the Viaplay Cup final in the blockbuster showdown with Celtic - and insists a victory will spark a Premiership title push from Michael Beale's men next term.

It's the Londoner's first shot at silverware since stepping into Ibrox hot seat as he prepares to lead Rangers out on derby day with an unbeaten record since replacing Gio van Bronckhorst. It's the toughest test they could face with Ange Postecoglou's men in relentless form and holding a nine point lead at the top of the Scottish Premiership as they look to keep the League Cup trophy at Celtic Park.

However, the former Tottenham midfielder reckons Beale has impressed since leaving Queens Park Rangers and could set the wheels in motion for a title tilt next term if he puts down a marker at the national stadium on Sunday. He reckons Ryan Kent will be the difference maker in Mount Florida with the winger enjoying an upturn in form following Beale's return to Ibrox.

Speaking to Grosvenor Sport, the talkSPORT pundit said: “It’s a huge game, massive game, everyone loves these games, and I think it’s probably the biggest rivalry in the world. Both teams are in really good form, Michael Beale’s gone in there, and Rangers are flying.

"Celtic are flying, no one has let up, and I think it’s going to be a brilliant game to watch. I think Michael Beale coming in when he has at Rangers, they’re a little too far behind to catch Celtic in the league, but next season the league title is going to be up for grabs for sure.

"I think Celtic win the league this season, but if Rangers can nick the Scottish League Cup final, that says a lot about Michael Beale. If he comes straight in and wins a trophy it’ll be interesting to see how the future pans out.

“I can’t wait to watch it, it’s a massive one, and I’m going to go with Rangers. Rangers to win it in extra-time, how about that? Ryan Kent scores, it will be 1-1, and then Ryan Kent bags the winner.”
