Martin Lawrence gave an update on fellow Hollywood actor Jamie Foxx 's health after he was hospitalised over "medical complications."
Jamie's daughter Corrinne shared a statement on Instagram explaining what had happened to Jamie.
"We wanted to share that my father, Jamie Foxx, experienced a medical complication yesterday," she wrote. "Luckily, due to quick action and great care, he is already on his way to recovery. We know how beloved he is and appreciate your prayers,
A source had revealed that there had been "changes in production" on the set of Back in Action, the movie Jamie is currently filming with Glenn Close and Cameron Diaz.
An email obtained by People Magazine read that informed extras that a scene set to film had been cancelled and the scene was not set to be rescheduled due to the changes.
Things were soon rescheduled and Cameron was seen acting with a body double for Jamie as filming for the upcoming Hollywood blockbuster continued.
Since then Martin has confirmed that Jamie is "doing better" and that he is "wishing the best for him."
“Well, I hear he's doing better," he told Extra as he was awarded his star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
Martin went on to add that Jamie is not only "One of the best entertainers" in Hollywood but also "a good person," hinting at their close friendship.
"My prayers go out for him every night and just wishing the best for him, one of the best that we got in Hollywood. Not only one of the best entertainers, but a good person."
Martin also teased Bad Boys 4 which he is currently filming with Will Smith.
He said: "Wait till y’all see this one. Might even be bigger than all of them. You gotta check it out."
Later in the event, Martin told Entertainment Tonight that the original team for Bad Boys would be returning as well as Will, aka Big Willie being "focused" on "doing his thing."
"It has the chance to be the best one of them all and everybody's doing their thing," he said. "We got a lot of the team back from the last one. Big Willie's doing his thing as always and so focused and, yeah, it has the chance to be the biggest one."
