Jamie Foxx and his daughter Corinne have announced their plans to host a new game show.
The announcement comes just days after the actress reassured fans that her father is out of hospital and has been for weeks, following speculation the family was "preparing for the worst".
"We are thrilled to be developing ‘We Are Family’ with Jeff Apploff and our friends at FOX Entertainment,” Jamie and Corinne said in a statement.
“We hope this show brings as much fun to audiences at home as we’ve had creating it when it premieres next year.”
The new series is expected to premiere in 2024 and will feature the non-famous relatives of celebrities performing duets with their well known family member.
The celebrities will be hidden and contestants can win up to $100,000 by correctly identifying them
The father and daughter duo previously hosted music game show Beat Shazam for five seasons.
But Nick Cannon and Kelly Osbourne took over earlier this month amid Jamie's health struggle.
The 55-year-old actor was hospitalised last month after experiencing a "medical complication" while filming his upcoming Netflix project, Back In Action.
Corinne previously shared a statement to say her father had experienced a "medical complication", but reassured fans that he was "on his way to recovery" thanks to the "quick action" of medics.
Updating fans on Friday, she took to Instagram to say: "My dad has has been out of the hospital for weeks recuperating.
"In fact, he was playing pickelball yesterday! Thanks for everyone's prayers and support.
"We have an exciting work announcement coming next week too!"
Jamie had also taken to social media to thank his fans for the support as he said he was "feeling blessed" with all of the love.
On a plain background he wrote on Instagram: "Appreciate all the love!!! Feeling blessed."
His words were followed by emojis of praying hands, a love heart and a fox.
The star was met with well-wishes from fans and his famous friends.
Halle Berry wrote: "Love you, Jamie," while Ellen DeGeneres said: " I'm sending love to you every single day."
Ansel Elgort added: " You are the greatest Jamie, please make a speedy recovery. You are a blessing to this world, we need you in it."
Last week, Jamie's condition was said to have improved, with sources claiming doctors are doing more tests before allowing him to leave and have advised him to "keep his stress level down".
