Netflix has announced a new crime noir series titled 'The Undertow,' with Jamie Dornan set to lead the cast. The series is based on the Nordisk Film Production AS television series 'Twin' created by Kristoffer Metcalfe. Dornan will portray twin brothers Adam and Lee in the show.
Joining Dornan in the cast are Mackenzie Davis, Iain de Caestecker, and Gary Lewis. The series follows the story of Nicola, played by Davis, who finds herself in a loveless marriage with Adam. The plot thickens when Adam's long-lost twin brother Lee, also portrayed by Dornan, re-enters their lives, leading to a complex web of secrets and lies.
'The Undertow' is set to be filmed in the Scottish Highlands and Islands, with production scheduled to begin later this year. The series boasts a talented team of writers, including Sarah Dollard, Hanna Jameson, Scout Cripps, and Kam Odedra. Jeremy Lovering will direct and executive produce the show.
