Jamie plays the role of Pa in 'Belfast', with the 87-year-old actress playing the role of his mother.
Judi is a previous Oscar winner and attended the awards ceremony with her grandson Sam Williams.
She was up for Best Supporting Actress for her role in Belfast, with the award going to West Side Story‘s Ariana DeBose.
Jamie previously told viewers of The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon about how much of a fan he is of Judi Dench.
He said: "When I signed on [for 'Belfast], it was only Judi Dench attached at that point. I was like, 'I don't need to read the script, like, I'm doing it, I don't care'. Yeah, no matter what it is, I don't care what I'm doing in a Judi Dench film, but if I'm playing her son, I'm definitely doing it.
"Incredible... she is amazing. Ciarán Hinds who plays my dad in it, he sums her up perfectly. He says she's a rebel. She has this like this rebellious, cheeky, mischievous side to her and she's 87 now. She just comes ready to play. It's very fun to be around."
Jamie added: "She will never steer you the wrong way."
