Jamie Dornan brands travel company which cancelled family holiday last minute as 'charlatans'

The Tourist star Jamie Dornan has fumed at a travel company which cancelled his family holiday at the last minute – branding them as “charlatans”.

The 50 Shades of Grey actor was due to fly out with his family on holiday in five days but has now had to make alternative travel plans as the travel agents he booked the holiday through cancelled at the last minute.

The father-of-three fumed: “Please never use company called @stayaltido. Cancelled our holiday (booked in April!) 5 days before due to arrive.

“Absolute charlatans.”

According to their website, Altido was born out of a merger of four individual companies of the short-term rental market from four different countries in 2019 and almost three years after, it boasts an impressive portfolio of over 1 000 properties and 700 pop-up hotel beds under management in over 20 cities.

A rep for the company has been contacted by The Irish Daily Star but a spokesman has yet to make any comment on Dornan’s claims.

It comes a month after it was reported that Dornan and his musician wife Amelia sold their eight-bedroom Cotswold pad for £5m.

Jamie and Amelia moved into their Cotswold home set on 22 acres just after their third daughter was born in February 2019.

Amelia explained at the time: "We had a cottage near Bath that we used to go to for weekends. After we had our daughter we were spending more and more time there and just fell in love with it. It is the perfect place for young children. They are free and feral."

They have a horse, two goats, five chickens, a dog and a golf simulator for sports mad Jamie.

They have spoken about how they had a lovely time being together in the countryside during lockdown and award-winning composer Amelia, who has a studio at the house, once said: "The beauty of the Cotswolds is a huge inspiration to me".

Her EP Haven was recorded in the drawing room of the house which features on the cover.
