Former Red Jamie Carragher watched on as his son James Carragher netted for Wigan Athletic in a pre-season friendly against Liverpool's under-21s on Tuesday night.
The visitors fielded an XI consisting of players from the club's academy to take on the Championship side at the DW Stadium. However, Carragher's son James was named on the substitutes bench for hosts Wigan.
Carragher, 19, was initially in Liverpool's academy before he joined Wigan's youth set-up in 2017. He's made just four senior appearances for the Latics so far.

It was a comfortable game for Wigan as they led Liverpool 2-0 at the break. The hosts went on to make nine changes at half-time, with Carragher among the players to enter the fray.
The youngster netted Wigan's fourth goal of the night and his father watched on from the stands.
With a number of Liverpool's young stars away on tour with the first-team in the far east, the visitors named an 18-man squad which also consisted of two trialists. Jake Cain captained the side, while player/coach Jay Spearing featured in the starting line-up.
The likes of Jack Bearne, Layton Stewart, Oakley Cannonier and Mateusz Musialowski were also involved.
