The majority of Everton’s players need to show the type of attitude that Anthony Gordon did against Tottenham on Monday night.
Everton, in the position they are in, need leaders. They need people who want to stand up and be counted and be brave.
And that is exactly what Anthony Gordon showed against Antonio Conte’s side. He was chasing balls down, chasing lost causes and just giving 100 percent commitment.
He was also trying to create things and make things happen for his side, while his team-mates were just walking past him.
It says it all when you see Gordon running past his own team-mates to close people down and put a tackle in.
If I was an Everton player and my team-mate did that, I’d be embarrassed, and I would certainly make sure it never happened again.

VERDICT: Everton face the unthinkable as disgraceful defeat proves major Frank Lampard concern right
You are a senior pro in a team and you see a young kid running past you to do your job, you should be totally embarrassed.
And that is the type of desire and commitment we need from everyone in the squad between now and the end of the season.
What Anthony Gordon showed is the blueprint his team-mates need to follow. We have games coming up that people think will be easy, but we have to be very careful.
We’ve seen how poor we can play. We have been ripped apart far too many times this season by teams who we believe as fans are beneath us.
If we don’t have the intent that Anthony Gordon showed on Monday night, then we are going to be in serious, serious trouble.

Carragher's Championship dig was generous
It was interesting to hear Jamie Carragher describe Everton’s backline as Championship standard during Sky Sports’ coverage of the game on Monday night.
In my opinion it is Championship level at best. The decision making from Mason Holgate, going into spaces and leaving gaps, is mind boggling.
It is school boy stuff. Everyone knows you don’t leave gaps behind yourself, you have got to keep tight and don’t get sucked towards the ball.
On more than one occasion Holgate was sucked towards the ball and Tottenham made Everton pay.
But he also hasn’t got a leader next to him feeding him instructions. Telling him what to do, telling him to be sharp and keeping him switched on.
We are that poor at the back that we are all worrying about our own performances and not helping each other out.
How many times have we failed to stop a cross coming into the box? For some reason, we seem unable to stop crosses.
And it was no surprise that Michael Keane ended up turning the ball into his own net because if you don’t stop crosses coming in that is what is going to happen eventually.
Unfortunately for Everton, it doesn't matter who they have up top at the minute, because with a defence like this, they are not going to win many football matches.
