Jamie Carragher 'fears' for Graham Potter if he becomes the new Chelsea head coach. Potter is the frontrunner for the Stamford Bridge vacancy after the Blues sacked Thomas Tuchel on Wednesday morning.
football.london understands that Potter and Mauricio Pochettino are the leading candidates for the job in a rapidly developing managerial recruitment process. Chelsea are set to hold talks with the current Brighton boss.
Having impressed during his three-year stint in Sussex, Potter has previously been linked with moves to the Premier League's biggest clubs, and it looks increasingly likely that he will get his chance at Chelsea. The 47-year-old has led the Seagulls to an impressive start to the new season, and they currently sit above Chelsea in the table.
However, given the managerial merry-go-round at Stamford Bridge, Carragher says Potter should be 'wary' over accepting the job at Chelsea.

"It is a very ruthless club, Chelsea," Carragher told Sky Sports News.
"I'm not exactly sure he is the exact fit. Maybe Chelsea are saying they want to do things differently in the future, in terms of having a coach in charge rather than a manager.
"But if I was Graham Potter, I would find that very hard to believe in the talks with the new ownership at Chelsea, that they are going to do things differently and that he is going to be there for two or three years because they have just got rid of a manager within six games.
"You fear Graham Potter will be in the same boat every other Chelsea manager has been for the last ten years, and unless he gets results instantly, they will be getting a new manager in 12 months.
"We have heard it so often over the years that they are going to do things differently. To be fair to the club at Chelsea, I've always said when they change managers, they always seem to get success, so it was always difficult to criticise them in the [Roman] Abramovich era. They were very ruthless with managers.
"Maybe that will change with Potter, I don't know, but if I was Graham Potter on the back of what they have done with Thomas Tuchel, I would be very wary of that and being promised in the talks he has with the club."
