Jamie Carragher shares his admiration for Leeds United following pulsating draw with Aston Villa

Jamie Carragher has shared his admiration for Leeds United following the sides enthralling 3-3 draw with Aston Villa on Wednesday evening.

The former Liverpool defender tweeted his fondness for the Whites, with Marcelo Bielsa's men coming from two goals down to rescue at point at Villa Park.

Dan James had given United an early lead in the second city, before a brace from Jacob Ramsey and a solo strike from Philippe Coutinho fired the Villans into a 3-1 lead.

Welsh midfielder James then netted his second just before the break, before defender Diego Llorente levelled things up just after the hour mark.

The result leaves Leeds 15th in the Premier League table with 16 games left to play.

With many pundits often divided on Leeds high octane philosophy of football under Bielsa, Carragher himself has often shared his opinions on this current United team.

Having suffered with a lengthy injury list this season, the Whites have been able to offer valuable game time too some of its up and coming stars from the Under 23 set-up albeit.

One of those of course being 19-year-old Joe Gelhardt, who netted his first goal in Leeds colours during the sides narrow 3-2 defeat to Chelsea earlier this season.

Carragher has gone on record to show his praise for the teenage striker, previously tweeting back in November: ''Good luck to Joffy on his 1st start in the Premier League, a real young talent who Wigan sadly lost but that is to Leeds benefit.''
