Liverpool legend Jamie Carragher has sent an open invitation to LeBron James to join him at the Champions League final.
Despite a spirited effort from Villarreal on Tuesday night, Liverpool were able to win 5-2 on aggregate in their semi-final.
The La Liga side threatened to make things tense with a stirring first-half performance in front of their own supporters, reaching parity in the tie at 2-2. However, goals from Fabinho, Luis Diaz and Sadio Mane were enough to see the Reds through to the showpiece in Paris.

Liverpool supporters around the globe were obviously delighted at the result, not to mention the fact that the fight for an unprecedented quadruple goes on.
James is one of those, having tweeted his excitement earlier on in a pair of messages. And on the back of those posts, Carragher made a direct plea down the camera during the CBS post-match section of the game.
"LeBron, if you want to come to Paris you can join us and the CBS team and you can be my guest," said the ex-Reds defender. "I'm pitchside and I want you next to us in Paris.
"Give us the support we need to win that seventh European Cup. Come and join us big man!"
