Liverpool legend Jamie Carragher has issued a farewell message to Sadio Mane as the forward edges closer to the exit door.
It is understood the club have reached an agreement with Bayern Munich and the overall package is believed to be worth just over £35m. Liverpool will receive a fixed fee of £27.4m and a potential £7.7m in add-ons.
Mane joined the club in 2016 from Southampton and has spent six years at Anfield, making over 260 appearances. Carragher was among hundreds of supporters to share their messages on social media and he branded the 30-year-old as a 'true Liverpool legend'.

The former Reds defender said in a tweet: "My favourite Liverpool player of this era, Sadio Mane finally departs. Low maintenance high performance & never injured!
"Trophies & goals galore, a true Liverpool Legend. Thank you Sadio."
Mane has won the Premier League, Champions League, FA Cup, League Cup, FIFA Club World Cup and European Super Cup during his time at Liverpool and has been an integral part of Jurgen Klopp's side.
His exit will be eased by the arrival of Darwin Nunez from Benfica, who was announced earlier this week in what could potentially be a record-breaking transfer. The initial fee of £64m could rise to £85m if all add-ons are paid out.
