Jamie Carragher sends clear Ibrahima Konate message as Liverpool fans say same thing after France reach World Cup final

Ibrahima Konate grabbed his chance with both hands tonight after being named to start for France in their 2-0 semi-final win against Morocco.

Didier Deschamps' side became the first to reach consecutive World Cup finals since Brazil in 1978 and 1982 thanks to goals from Theo Hernandez and Randal Kolo Muani. They will face Lionel Messi's Argentina in the Sunday showpiece in a bid to win back-to-back world titles.

Les Bleus saw their preparations for the semi-final undermined by illness within camp and Dayot Upamecano's absence from Tuesday's training session due to a sore throat handed Konate his third start of the tournament. The Liverpool man was dropped for both of France's previous knockout games but was handed a huge opportunity to stake a claim for his place in the final.
