Jamie Carragher has taken a cynical swipe at Paul Pogba after the Manchester United midfielder posted a personal message on Twitter during his team's 3-1 Premier League defeat at Arsenal on Saturday.
Pogba hobbled off the pitch at Anfield on Tuesday after just the first 10 minutes of Liverpool's crushing 4-0 win against the Red Devils.
United boss Ralf Rangnick has indicated that Pogba, who is out of contract at the end of the season, could possibly miss the rest of the campaign, but as his team-mates faced fellow Champions League qualification-chasers Arsenal, the 29-year-old shared an update with followers on Twitter.

He tweeted: "Absolutely gutted to not be able to help the team in today's game. I will work even harder to come back stronger and hopefully before the end of the season. It's not over. Thank you all for your support, United we would stand!"
The social media post was then retweeted by former Liverpool defender and Sky Sports pundit Carragher, who cheekily wrote: "Can you tweet something like……"
Carragher's comment is a reference to a previous tweet from former Everton player Victor Anichebe who, while playing for Sunderland, appeared to have sent a message to his PR team with instructions to write a tweet on his behalf, only for the full message, including instructions, to be posted publicly from his own Twitter account.
Pogba and a number of his team-mates have come under fierce criticism throughout the season as United have struggled to make any impression at the top end of the Premier League and, following defeat to Arsenal, have now suffered three straight defeats that leaves their hopes of finishing in the top four looking slimmer with each passing week.
Before Saturday's match against the Gunners, Rangnick appeared to suggest that Pogba may have played his last game in a United shirt. He said: "As it seems right now, he will not renew his contract and, I don’t know, maybe the club or Erik will not want to renew his contract. It’s most likely he won’t be here next season.
"He’s a player who won the World Cup; he’s such a good player that he was a regular starter for France. We all know what kind of potential he has and what kind of good player he can be. He was like quite a few other players struggling to get his best performance sustainably on the pitch for a team like Man United. This has not only been the case this season or in the past couple of weeks. As far as I remember, it was also the case in earlier years."
Pogba's tweet suggest that he may not have played his last match for United just yet, not that Carragher was seemingly in any mood to let him off the hook.
