Former Liverpool centre-back Jamie Carragher has once again expressed concerns about Manchester United defender Lisandro Martinez's height, but has pinpointed a handful qualities the Argentinian has shown.
After producing an outstanding performance in the 2-1 win over Liverpool just over a fortnight ago, the Argentine has played a key role in each of the three victories that have followed the triumph over Jurgen Klopp's side. He helped United record back-to-back clean sheets in the wins over Southampton and Leicester City, before helping bring Arsenal's winning start to the season to an end.
Working in tandem with Raphael Varane, the 24-year-old has been solid in each of the last four matches. His ability to stride out from the back with the ball has helped Erik ten Hag's side get on the front foot in games.

However, his lack of height for a central defender continues to attract plenty of questioning, not least from former England international Carragher. Despite that, the Sky Sports pundit has been impressed by three other qualities within the Argentine's arsenal.
"I think he's a good player, I just wouldn't want a centre-back who is 5ft 9in in my team," Carragher told The Overlap. "I wouldn't.
"We'll see, it's only been four games, don't get carried away. For a defender to be 5ft 9in, and not just to play in the Premier League or any level of football, he's got to be a good player, because that is not normal.
"His passing is very good, he looks aggressive and he looks [like] a leader. He's obviously a good player, but to play at that level at 5ft. 9in, I wouldn't want my team or to play with someone who’s 5ft 9in as a centre-back."
