Jamie Carragher has weighed in on Liverpool’s chances of winning the Premier League title after their draw with Manchester City.
The Reds remain one point behind leaders City following their 2-2 draw at the Etihad Stadium. Diogo Jota and Sadio Mane scored the goals for Liverpool to earn a stalemate and remain unbeaten in their last 12 league matches.
Jurgen Klopp’s side now have seven league matches left to play in order to try and leapfrog Man City in their quest for the league title. And Carragher has claimed that Sunday’s result benefitted Liverpool most.

“Draw was a better point in the end for Liverpool as Man City should have won,” wrote Carragher on Twitter.
“I think the away games both teams have will decide the title as I can see a draw or two along the way!”
Carragher was also on Sky Sports to talk about Liverpool getting back into the game. The Reds trailed 2-1 at half time, before Mane equalised just 47 seconds after the restart.
“From Liverpool’s point of view, not in terms of quality but the mentality because they had been given the run around first-half.
“It almost looked like Liverpool didn’t have the energy to cope with Manchester City, I thought they were going to need to make a change.
“I don’t think they did anything different, they almost went higher, they didn’t change, they believe in what they do.
“For how good City played, (for Liverpool) to come out that second half and match City and maybe do better, I was so impressed with both teams.”
