Jamie Carragher mocks Gary Neville and laughs at Man United Twitter account after Liverpool 7-0 win

Jamie Carragher has poked fun at Manchester United after Liverpool’s historic win with several posts on Twitter.

The Reds claimed a stunning 7-0 victory over their bitter rivals in the Premier League clash at Anfield. It was Liverpool’s biggest ever success over Man United in the club’s history.

Mohamed Salah, Cody Gakpo and Darwin Nunez each scored two goals apiece. Roberto Firmino rounded off the scoring with a late strike in front of the Kop.

Carragher was commentating on the match for Sky Sports alongside fellow pundit Gary Neville and lead commentator Martin Tyler. And after the game, Carragher posted a series of tweets poking fun at United.

The first tweet was a selfie of himself and Neville in the commentary gantry in the Main Stand. Carragher can be seen smiling gleefully, while Neville looks on clearly unimpressed with what he saw from his old club.

Carragher’s next tweet was referencing a post from the Red Devils' Twitter account, which featured the full-time score line. “They’ve not put the score up,” wrote the Liverpool legend followed by several laughing emojis.

Carragher’s final tweet was in reference to United defender Lisandro Martinez. He wrote: “I’ll gladly accept the apologies off Yanited fans about Lisandro Martinez! 7-0.”

Earlier in the season Carragher had questioned whether Martinez would be a good signing, which he has proved to be. Well, at least up until today.
