Jamie Carragher has slammed Todd Boehly's 'ridiculous' decision to change Thomas Tuchel for Graham Potter as manager of Chelsea.
A statement was released by Chelsea just after 8pm on Sunday night after Boehly took the decision to part ways with the former Brighton and Hove Albion boss Potter after just seven months in charge.
The Londoners had taken the controversial decision to fire Tuchel, who had guided the club to the Champions League title in 2021, just weeks into the season and embarked on an ambitious recruitment drive and project with Potter at the helm.

But a series of difficult reasons saw Chelsea slip to 11th in the Premier League on Saturday after being beaten 2-0 by Aston Villa at Stamford Bridge. They will take on Liverpool in West London on Tuesday night with Bruno Saltor taking charge on an interim basis.
Former Liverpool defender Carragher tweeted: "Todd said he would be different to Roman. I feel for Graham Potter, but it was inevitable. You don’t change Tuchel for Potter. Ridiculous decision to start with."
Potter was not the only manager to have lost his job on Sunday after Brendan Rodgers left Leicester City by mutual consent.
Carragher also took to Twitter to express his desire for no more sackings with Monday Night Football needing to be planned: "We will have prepared three different MNF shows now after these sackings today! Please no more before 7:00 tomorrow night."
