Liverpool legend Jamie Carragher has labelled Arsenal defender Jakub Kiwior 'embarrassing' for his defending during yesterday's 3-0 loss to Brighton.
The Seagulls broke the deadlock shortly after half-time as Julio Enciso netted in controversial fashion. Enciso had a free header in the Gunners' box after centre-back Kiwior went down holding his ankle.
Brighton striker Evan Ferguson appeared to stand on the Polish international's foot, with his boot coming off in the process. However, Carragher was far from impressed with the 23-year-old asking for a free-kick.

After the match, the former Reds centre-half tweeted: "It was embarrassing Kiwior stayed down whether it was a foul or not (it wasn't) there was very little wrong with him. Get up and defend like your life depends on it."
Kiwior admitted that he thought he was fouled, hoping that VAR would disallow the goal. "I felt contact and lost my boot," he told Viaplay. "I didn’t even see the goal.
"I hoped VAR would intervene and rule out the goal, but unfortunately the referee saw it differently. After we conceded the second goal, our heads dropped and we couldn’t come back."
The result leaves Arsenal four points adrift of league-leaders Manchester City, who also have a game in hand on their title rivals. That means that a win against Chelsea next weekend would mathematically secure Pep Guardiola and co their fifth league title in six years.
