Jamie Carragher breaks silence on Chelsea's Graham Potter sack decision

Liverpool legend Jamie Carragher has spoken out after Chelsea announced their decision to sack Graham Potter on Sunday evening.

The Blues were defeated 2-0 by Aston Villa on Saturday afternoon, a result that means they are now sitting eleventh in the current Premier League standings. The west London outfit then decided that it was time for change, relieving Potter of his duties.

The club's statement read: "Chelsea FC has announced that Graham Potter has departed the club. Graham has agreed to collaborate with the Club to facilitate a smooth transition.

Now, former Reds defender Carragher has taken a chance to poke fun at Chelsea owner Todd Boehly, comparing him to Roman Abramovich. His tweet read: "Todd said he would be different to Roman (laughing emoji) (laughing emoji) I feel for Graham Potter, but it was inevitable.

"You don’t change Tuchel for Potter. Ridiculous decision to start with."
