Jamie Carragher believes Curtis Jones' role in the Liverpool squad poses an interesting outlook for the summer transfer window.
The Reds are targeting midfielders ahead of a busy period as James Milner, Naby Keita and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain are all set to depart Anfield on a free transfer. Brighton star Alexis Mac Allister and Chelsea's Mason Mount remain on Jurgen Klopp's list of targets ahead of next season.
Jones was one of the standout performers from Liverpool's seventh-straight Premier League win, against Leicester. The 21-year-old scored twice in three minutes to fire the Germans side into a two-goal lead at the break.

PLAYER RATINGS: Curtis Jones and one other brilliant against Leicester
The midfielder has been rejuvenated in recent weeks as it coincides with the new role for Trent Alexander-Arnold. The full-back has performed equally well and rounded off the scoring in their 3-0 win over Leicester City.
Carragher has lauded the Liverpudlian for his re-emergence in Klopp's plans in recent months and has branded him as a "revelation".
He said: "The front five can go and play and this guy who we’ve just interviewed - Curtis Jones - in terms of an attacking sense from midfield, this is really interesting for me.
"He’s been a revelation in this role of late, but also when you look at the profile of player that Liverpool are looking for right now in terms of midfielders - there’s talk of Mason Mount, Mac Allister from Brighton, whether it happens we don’t know - but, those types of players are two number 10s that Liverpool are looking to play with right now.
"These roles of players - Gakpo, Curtis Jones, Jordan Henderson finds himself in that position as an attacking midfielder. Going forward, I think this change in system in terms of when they’re in possession, I think it’s really interesting in terms of the profile of player they bring in in the summer, Liverpool.
"We know they’re gonna buy two, maybe three, midfield players, but when you think about where Liverpool were when they won the title, you talk about midfield players like Jordan Henderson, Wijnaldum, Fabinho and Milner.
"Some of those are still there, but it was about running, it was about power. Just when I think about this system and some of the players that they’re linked with, it may be sort of that twist, that change, that Jurgen Klopp mentioned before the game, but in terms of the role of Curtis Jones, it’s fantastic."
