Liverpool icons Jamie Carragher and Graeme Souness have had their say on the ongoing Premier League top-four race involving the likes of Arsenal, Tottenham and West Ham.
The Gunners weren't in action over the weekend but saw their rivals slip up as Manchester United and West Ham drew with Southampton and Leicester City respectively whilst Spurs were defeated by Wolves 2-0.
That leaves Mikel Arteta's side in a great position, sitting just two points behind the Hammers, who have played three more times in the league.
Now, Carragher has delivered his verdict on the ongoing race to qualify for next season's UEFA Champions League, claiming that the Lilywhites in particular have had a nightmare few weeks given they have lost their last three league outings.
The former England international told Sky Sports: "I said before the show I think it will be tough for them [West Ham] but when you look at it now it hasn’t been the worst weekend for Manchester United.
"It’s been an absolutely terrible four or five days for Tottenham, it really has. But you know, Arsenal, what a result that was away at Wolves, games in hand, there’s no European football, we don’t know how long Manchester United will be in the Champions League, that could play its part.
"At this moment, between those teams and the top three, the gap is huge, week in week out they’re dropping points. It feels like it will go to the wire."
Souness had his say, agreeing that the race will go to the very end of the season.
He added: "I think it will go all the way to the end. West Ham dug a result out, that’s how they’ve played this year.
"With belief and resilience, but you go through those other teams. Arsenal, do they have enough goals? Spurs look to be in trouble trying to regain some confidence, right now you take them out of it.
"Wolves, they’re a really good team and saw that again today. Coming back to Man United, scoring goals is the hardest thing and they have so many strikers and they have so many strikers, you’d think they could get that mix right.
"They’ve got far more goals in them than anyone else and that’s what makes them dangerous but they’re really struggling for any continuity. They seem to be absence of confidence, real belief and a system that really works for them."
