James Middleton shares look inside Bucklebury Manor, where Kate Middleton's family are self-isolating

Kate Middleton’s brother James has revealed a small snapshot into the family home in Berkshire, after posting a video to Instagram.

James, who is isolating with his parents Carole and Michael, his fiance Alizee Thevenet and his army of dogs, shared a glimpse into the vibrant garden chez Middleton: Bucklebury Manor.

While Bucklebury Manor isn’t the place that Kate, James and their sister Pippa grew up in (that home was sold), their parents are believed to have moved into the Grade II listed Georgian manor in 2012.

After Prince George was born, Kate and her husband Prince William stayed there temporarily with an intensive security detail.

Pippa Middleton and her husband Spencer Matthews also reportedly held a second wedding reception on the grounds there, where a temporary £100k glass marquee was built on the 18-acre estate.

Besides surprising his fiancee Thevenet (who he was set to marry this month) by shaving his beard off, James also filmed the garden and back of the Manor.

Featuring red and grey brickwork, the neatly manicured garden features a variety of flowers, plants that trail the side of the home and has a stone patio with a table and chairs with grey cushions.

It also appeared as if the family has also been spending their time gardening, as a wheelbarrow full of twigs sat off to the side - as well as what appeared to be a cheeky bottle of wine on the table.

After Thevenet got to her feet and the camera angle changed, white bunting (perhaps hung for VE Day) could also be seen in the background. It was also possible to see a tiny glimpse inside the home, as the glass double door that led inside was left ajar and revealed a patterned rug and a gallery wall of photographs.

Middleton's previous posts on social media have also suggested the family keeps farm animals on the estate, as his dog Mabel was photographed with a chick on her head.

According to British Listed Buildings, the home is believed to date back to around the 1830s and features two storeys, two grand fireplaces and a hip roof.

The Steeple Times reported that it was previously owned by a Morgan Stanley banker and the Middletons bought it for a reported price of £4.7 million, according to the Daily Mail.

The 18-acre property reportedly features seven bedrooms (just enough room for a visit from Prince Wiliam, Kate and their children), a swimming pool, tennis court, spacious kitchen and five reception rooms. The Steeple Times also shared property listing photos of the home, which also includes a spacious steel-framed garden room.

It is not known if the Middletons have made any changes to the home.

In 2013, Kate and Prince William also provided another glimpse of the home's sprawling grounds in a picture taken of them, their newborn son Prince George and the Middleton family dogs and Tilly and Lupo.

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are currently staying at their home Anmer Hall in Norfolk, after leaving their London residence Kensington Palace at the beginning of the outbreak.

Over the past weeks, they have continued to support their charity patronages on video calls and have also shared videos of their children Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis all clapping in support of the NHS in their garden.
