James McFadden believes Michael Beale would have wanted more from the January transfer window but will be 'pretty happy' with his two Rangers recruits.
The Light Blues boss moved last month to sign former Norwich City midfielder Todd Cantwell on a long-term deal, ending a torrid run of no game time for the Englishman at Carrow Road as the 24-year-old made his debut in a win over St Johnstone last weekend. And on deadline day the long-awaited arrival of Standard Liege star Nicolas Raskin was made official in a deal worth a reported £1.5m also on a lengthy contract.
Beale admitted interest in more targets this month including Swansea City striker Morgan Whittaker, with reports suggesting the Light Blues made bids for the 22-year-old but Russell Martin's side stood firm. Scotland hero Faddy believes the gaffer would have loved a trio of new acquisitions but admits the recruitment of Raskin is a smart one for what the club need.

He told Sky Sports: "Raskin in particular is a good deal. Both he and Cantwell are at a good age with good experience. Raskin has that domestically and in Europe so that's one that can play now but Rangers can keep for the long term.
"It brings freshness to the squad that they needed. Someone that can bring a bit of creativity to that midfield area.
"I think Michael Beale will be pretty happy, I know he was after one more but he didn't get that over the line. But he will be happy with the business he has done so far."
