James McClean shows off pre-season shape ahead of Championship return with Wigan

James McClean has proven he is Championship ready as he is set for a return with Wigan.

The Ireland star has been hard at training as he nears his Championship return with newly promoted Wigan.

McClean departed Stoke City in 2021 and played a starring role with Wigan as they won the League One title.

And the winger turned left back is known for his brutal workouts which includes gruelling boxing sessions and has taken to social media to show his pre-season shape.

Posting on Instagram, he said: "Last session done in Portugal (obvs had to take a pic) ... looking forward to getting back to work with the lads now."

And it isn't the first time that McClean shared snaps as he geared up for the new season.

Just last week he took to Instagram and said: "Another session ticked off"
