James Jordan concerns fans as he says daughter is 'really unwell' after month-long illness

James Jordan has left his fans concerned after revealing his daughter was "really unwell", meaning that he was forced to miss tweeting about the BBC show on Saturday.

The former pro dancer, 44, often delights viewers by marking each of the celebs each week and giving his own critique.

However, he was forced to pull out of his tweeting marathon on Saturday after his two-year-old daughter Ella with wife Ola fell "really ill".

James revealed that it had been a "tough few days" after Ella had been ill for a month.

He wrote: "Unfortunately guys - Ella is really unwell so won’t be tweeting tonight. Big love to all."

Worried fans flocked to Twitter to share their concern, with one writing: "Hope sooner than later will be on the me with all the love and support she is getting. Sending positive vibes and prayers her way and for your family."

While another commented: "Hope she's ok! Get well soon Ella!"

A third wrote: "Sorry to hear that James, hope Ella feels better soon."

"Hope Ella gets better soon. There's nothing worse than seeing your little one unwell. Sending love to all 3 of you xxx," another commented.

He gave fans an update tonight, tweeting: "Hi guys - thanks for all of the lovely messages about Ella. She’s still quite poorly but doing better.

"After 1 month of being ill she now has ear infection in both ears so been tough few days. But she’s a Jordan and a fighter!"

It comes after Ellie Taylor and Johannes Radebe were left in tears as they became the ninth stars to leave the show.

Ellie and Johannes scored just 25 for their performance to Van Morrison's Brown Eyed Girl, with Craig Revel Horwood giving them just a five for the dance.

After they and Fleur and Vito danced for a second time, the judges voted who to save.

All four judges chose to save Fleur and Vito, meaning that Ellie and Johannes left the competition.

Afterwards, Ellie shared her happiness over being part of Strictly this year, saying: "It has and it’s been, I’m going to be a cliché machine now, buts it’s been everything and more. I never in a million years expected to be in for this long and to experience it so fully."

She added: "Strictly is about dancing but it’s also about the people, and every part of this show from the top to bottom, from the Execs to the make-up, to the hair to the costumes, to the sets to the band, to my fellow celebs and the dancers - even some of the judges have been alright! It’s been an absolute privilege to become part of the Strictly alumni and I’ve really really loved it."
