James Harden forcing his way to the Philadelphia 76ers and getting out of Brooklyn is somehow the second most confusing thing he’s done this week.
The most confusing? It’s absolutely the outfit he wore to make his first appearance in front of 76ers fans. Talk about a first impression.
Harden was invited to ring the bell for the Sixers ahead of their game against the Celtics. For those of you out of the loop, the 76ers have a bell that they ring before games as a tradition. They had Meek Mill ring the bell, for example, a few years ago when he was finally released from prison. It was a pretty cool and special moment for Meek and for Sixers fans.
Now, it was Harden’s turn. Obviously, it was a pretty good moment for him to do it with him being traded to the team and all. But no one had any idea our guy would show up looking like this.
for the first time, your bell ringer…

As you can see, the jokes were absolutely flying after NBA fans caught a whiff of this. And rightfully so. My man looks like the Supreme Kai from Dragon Ball Z right now.
No idea who designed this or what brand it is. But I can tell you this fit is unequivocally not it.
NBA fans did not hold back on Harden.
