James Garner sends Jesse Lingard message after former Man United teammate joins Nottingham Forest

Former Nottingham Forest loanee James Garner has commented on Jesse Lingard's arrival at the City Ground.

Lingard joined Forest yesterday on a one-year deal and published a post celebrating his move on Instagram. Among the big names congratulating him in the comments was Garner, his former Man United teammate.

Garner played a huge part in Forest's return to the Premier League last season, but will not be able to sign on loan again unless the move contains an obligation to buy clause. This is because Dean Henderson is on loan from United and two loanees cannot come from the same club under Premier League rules.

But that didn't stop Garner from congratulating Lingard and celebrating the move. "Ready for my new chapter," Lingard said in his post. "Lets gooo babyyyyyy". Among those to reply was Garner, who wrote "Yessirrr" with two 'loveheart eyes' emojis.

Also in the comments were Danny Welbeck, who said "Good Luck Broski" and a message saying "Congratulations brother" from former United and Derby man Ravel Morrison. There was also a "Come on!!!!!!" from former Forest midfielder and academy graduate Jermaine Jenas.
