James Garner and Keinan Davis respond to brilliant six-word Nottingham Forest message

Brennan Johnson netted his first Premier League goal for Nottingham Forest yesterday when he scored the opener against Everton in his side's 1-1 draw at Goodison Park.

Forest went ahead late on after Johnson slotted home the rebound after England goalkeeper Jordan Pickford parried a powerful Ryan Yates strike.

But they were pegged back late on by Everton's Demari Gray with just two minutes of normal time left to make sure Everton didn't suffer their third straight loss to start the season.

Johnson took to social media to celebrate his achievement, posting three photos to Instagram showing his celebrations with teammates Jesse Lingard and new club-record signing Morgan Gibbs-White.

Former team-mate Djed Spence commented a single black heart emoji, while another in James Garner sent three heart-eyes emojis to Johnson. This isn't the first time Garner has commented on his former teammates' posts, leaving fans with hope that he'll return to City Ground on a permanent deal before the end of the transfer window.

Keinan Davis also commented to wish Johnson well. The result leaves Forest in 11th after three games ahead of a clash with Grimsby Town in midweek.
