Celtic's longest serving player James Forrest is adamant boss Ange Postecoglou has earned the trust of the fans in his transfer dealings - as the Aussie prepares to make countryman Aaron Mooy his latest signing.
Free agent Australian international Mooy - who had a spell at St Mirren a decade ago - is poised to put pen to paper in a deal and Forrest is convinced that Postecoglou's track record will ensure that the 31-year-old will be another quality addition to the Celtic squad.
Forrest pointed to the success of players such as Jota, Kyogo, Cameron Carter-Vickers and Matt O'Riley as proof that his gaffer knows his stuff and said: "If you look in the past, sometimes one or two new signings do really well. Last year, I don’t think you can come up with one who hasn’t made an impact. It’s always good to add quality players as well.
“It’s always good to add quality players as well. It’s only going to help the team and help to build it stronger. If he’s said he’s going to sign another two or three then definitely it’s going to help the squad.
“The fans are behind him (Postecoglou) but also the players as well as all of his staff. Rightly so after how good last season was. He wants to keep building and be a part of that.”
