James Corden's Late Late show leaves fans in tears as Harry Styles and Will make final appearance

James Corden was given a standing ovation during his final show as he prepares to leave for the UK.

Hosting the Late Late Show for the final time, the comedian and actor had a star-studded cast to help him go out on a high with guests including Will Ferrell and Harry Styles, who is soon set to perform in Scotland on May 26 and May 27 in Edinburgh.

The US comedy-skit show has two episodes with Adele appearing for the final ever Carpool Karaoke as the pair bonded over their friendship and shared tears.

And it wasn't just the two pals that were left with wet eyes with those at home having to grab the tissues as they wished the host luck in his new venture.

Writing a pun on the final show, and Harry's song Sign of the Times, one said: "Welcome to the final show...I hope you‘re wearing your best clothes."

Corden announced his departure last April saying it was a “good time to move on and see what else might be out there", citing his family as the main reason when making his decision.

After seven-and-a-half years at the helm, people were sad to see him go with Harry and Will calling him a friend and the singer adding Corden has been a "safe space" for him and "selfishly" can't wait for him to go to home to England.

To close the final show, the Gavin and Stacey actor played the piano signing an emotional goodbye as he tried to hold back tears before walking behind the curtain for the final time.

Writing on Twitter one said: "God speed to you and your family! Thank you for the laughter! We’ll miss you here in the US."

Another added: "James, thank you for everything."

"Thank you for all these amazing years, so much joy all over the world in every sketch, carpool karaoke, etc Thank u from the bottom of my heart" said a third.
