James Comer Outlines Joe Biden's Three 'Biggest Lies' Republicans Claim He Made About Family's 'Shady Business Dealings'

Republican Rep. James Comer, the chair of the House Oversight Committee, has been active in his investigations of potential misconduct by political opponents, especially President Joe Biden.

Now, as the president granted a wide-ranging pardon to his son Hunter, who was set to be sentenced for two different crimes in December, Comer has put his focus again on the issue.

The committee he leads recently published a timeline of what they referred to as activity "the Biden Crime Family were up to from 2014 to 2024."

The detailed chronology is the result of the Committee's investigation of the Biden family's domestic and international business practices. It began in January and looks to determine whether the Biden family has been targeted by foreign actors, President Biden is compromised, and national security has been threatened.

In that context, Comer published an op-ed on Fox News where he also details "Biden's three biggest lies about his family's shady business dealings." "Hunter Biden laptop as Russian disinformation," the claim about Biden not speaking to his son about "his overseas business dealings," and Hunter Biden not making any money in China were highlighted by the lawmaker.

Comer began by claiming that Biden "lied from start to finish about his family's influence-peddling racket," something "unsurprising" for "observers of the Biden crime family's corrupt practices."

"Despite stonewalling from the Biden administration, we followed the Bidens' money trail, exposing the 20 shell companies they set up to hide the shady foreign payments they received, all with Joe Biden at the center of the family business," Comer says.

Looking at the first item, the lawmaker says that Secretary of State Antony Blinken "orchestrated a misinformation campaign to discredit the contents of Hunter Biden's abandoned laptop, including evidence of Joe Biden's involvement in his influence-peddling schemes." He adds that the information has now proven true.

As for Biden's denial about discussing Hunter's business dealings, Comer says that "evidence uncovered" contradicts this. "Evidence obtained by our committee reveals then-Vice President Biden spoke, dined or had coffee with nearly all of Hunter Biden's foreign business associates," reads a passage of the op-ed.

The meetings took place "as the foreign nationals or their affiliated entities were collectively paying" Hunter Biden millions of dollars, Comer says. The meetings also include one with Jonathan Li, a Chinese national "who was Hunter Biden's associate, and wrote a college letter of recommendation for his daughter."

As for the third and final "lie," Biden's claim that Hunter did not make any money in China, Comer recalls that investigations revealed otherwise and that "Hunter Biden and other Biden family members received millions from China for unknown services."

"Additionally, we traced how $40,000 in Chinese money landed in Joe Biden's personal bank account. When confronted with the fact that his family did indeed receive money from China, President Biden lied again and said it was not true that his family received money from China," Comer says.

The op-ed concludes by saying that when "the truth came out," the Biden camp "tried to move the goalposts," all with the goal of hiding "the fact that Joe Biden was the family business." "Joe Biden has long prided himself on his integrity, yet his legacy will be defined by his repeated falsehoods. Joe Biden has lied for a living," Comer finishes.
