The favourite to be cast as the new James Bond has already filmed footage for the iconic 007 teaser.
After completing a screen test for the franchise earlier in the year, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, 32, has reportedly since shot the gun barrel scene, according to The Sun.
Eon Productions are set to reveal who will take over from Daniel Craig in the title role in March next year.
Apparently, Aaron impressed bosses that much at his top-secret screen test, held at Pinewood Studios, Berks, he has now been named as the bookies favourite to take over the role.
Highstreet bookmaker William Hill has placed odds over him becoming the new James Bond at 4/5.
A source said: “Aaron has impressed bosses so much that he has filmed one of the franchise’s famous gun barrel teaser scenes, something all the Bond actors do. That move takes him a step closer to signing a deal.
“Bosses at the brand were really impressed with his unique blend of acting intensity and his impressive back catalogue of action films.”
Aaron previously starred in the Kick-Ass movie series, Tenet and Bullet Train.
In October this year, a raft of potential Bond leads were taken out of the running, after producers said the next James Bond should be in his 30s.
That led to Idris Elba, 50, Tom Hardy, 45, and Tom Hiddleston, 41 no longer in the running for the role.
Actor Luke Evans opened up about his age potentially blocking him from landing his dream role.
At age 43, the Clash of the Titans actor said that if he doesn’t land the role now, he’ll never get the opportunity again.
Luke was named as one of the actors tipped to take over the role from Daniel Craig.
He said: "It's a wonderful role but it's not easy and whoever gets it will have big shoes to fill. But this is the only time I will ever be connected to it, because by the time the role comes around again, I'll be way too old!"
